Spotlight spotlight spotlight
Put that spotlight down on me
Everybody see that I'm shining
Never struggling
Spotlight spotlight spotlight
Living my life in the beam
Under a microscope examining
Judging whatever it is , I am doing (x2)
-------------------------------------------
Tell me, what to choose
Pick incorrect and I might lose
I want my cake and to eat it too
Struggle to focus on what to do
And I never was a fan of mismatchin'
And I'm Stuck in between two passions
Yeah, I don't know what I'm doing
But I know what I am losing
It’s an identity crisis - I wish I was psychic
Need to gaze into the future
So I could make a plan - And mighty i’d stand
wouldn’t be feelin' like a loser
When you grow up in the center of
Attention it makes you better
But im feeling vulnerable
And I think I might crumble
Never was asked just told what to do
Focus on me, never focus on you
Don't care about your goals or about your dreams
Lived that way too long and I wanted to scream
Now they trying to live vicariously,
it's embarrassing
And, ha, honestly
I ain't got shit to give, but my will to live
rejection to face, a dream to chase
Ever stop to think to give consideration?
About your moderation?
On my dedication
To my skills and placement
To the things I'm facing
And runnin' away from
Let's sit and face it
It's you.
I'm running away from. You.
Running towards that spot light!

And now, Twilly got the skills to pay her bills
I'm expensive, no cheap thrills
My passion in the day, paves the way
So music I can play while bills get paid
Yeah I can switch, Nintendo
But I aint playin' games
Wearing a mask when makin' dinero
The only way to stay sane
I aint fuckin' around, but I can play the game
Yeah I can set the stage, make you scream my name
And you’ll comprehend, and you’ll understand
That this my life, both of my passions
And if I gotta work work that double time
So I can draw some shit and I can spit a rhyme
Then bitch, I’m on my grind, call me super fly
Cause at the end of the day you can’t deny
That i’m the hardest working bitch that you ever met
Stomped on, told no, but I haven’t quit yet
I’m like water, my friend, i’ll push through til the end
My dreams comin' true lemme say that again
When you tried to say that Twilly can’t
you tried to say they’ll find a replacement
But I never failed, so you better embrace that
My dreams are coming true so explain that

Cat got your tongue?
You can’t speak
You too weak
Twilly haxxor leet
She can’t be beat
Throw the white flag and retreat
If you diggin what i’m sayin then send me a tweet (x2)

I love this whole album: It just captures a wide range of experiences and affects the listener with a wide range of emotions.
I first liked this album because of the nerdcore elements, but I fell in love when I realized that these verses were true poetry, speaking to a deeper truth and beauty unlike most hip-hop I've heard. "A Poet" exemplifies this with its bittersweet message about how poetry is not valued. This is the first hip-hop tune I've ever shed a tear over.
Take a bow, Mega Ran. platinumazure
This album really captures the feel of the series. The hope that's hidden behind rage, fear, despair. You can sense all of it. EyeQ has a great support cast on this album as well, with none of the featured artists feeling out of place, they all feel as if they are strengthened by their placement here. Definitely glad I picked up a copy of this album as it was well worth twice the price I paid. Looking forward to more amazing things from EyeQ. smugzug
