Gotta keep cool,
Gotta stay calm
(over and over)
Fuck, this shit, this shit is all wrong.
Chorus:
Oh, as long as I can remember
January becomes December
They always say never say never
Always remember, watch your temper
How many times did I-e say so?
Watch your rage and control your ego
cerulean skies or treacherous weather
Always remember, watch your temper
Always remember watch your temper
Always remember, watch your temper!
Twill Verse:
One look at your stupid face
Yeah, that's all that it takes
I feel i’m winding back
I wanna punch you right now
But I know not to snap
I’ve just gotta to relax
Forget the pressure don’t crack
But I don’t know how
One thing for sure that I know
Burning bridges is my show
Dont think I just say lets go
But I know deep down that I
Might need you in future
That fact makes my stomach churn
All I wish I could do is
just fucking make you cry
Chorus:
Oh, as long as I can remember
January becomes December
They always say never say never
Always remember, watch your temper
How many times did I-e say so?
Watch your rage and control your ego
cerulean skies or treacherous weather
Always remember, watch your temper
Always remember watch your temper
Always remember, watch your temper!
Vincente:
How can I speak when i've tried to move
past these transgressions made me who I am?
All I can do is try to move forward
and not look back on what I have.... done
I will never be the same
I refuse to go that far
I won't lose sight of who I am
I will fight to make things right!
Osiris:
All my life i been restraining and controlling
my emotions, containing em from being out in the open
Seen as calm cool and collected
this method I had perfected
that people never expected
and respected my perspective
But then I had to question, this side of me I neglected
my mental state was effected, by lack of my self expression
I made it so, I was afraid to show, all the rage below,
but when u take and hold all of those feelings they may explode
It’s healthy to get it out
liven out,
every minute forbidden from flipping out
but when it’s building the feeling could go through the ceiling
from keeping your anger in prison
Now it has risen
headed for head on collisions
fuck all your rational decisions
show everything that was hidden
they should listened
this here was not my intention
Don’t wanna fight,
don’t wanna yell,
don’t wanna cuss
but fuck how you feel
bout to combust
don’t know how to chill
fuckidty fuck
dammit in hell
hard to tell, I had such a temper underneath
remember, the nicest people have the angriest of beasts
Chorus:
Oh, as long as I can remember
January becomes December
They always say never say never
Always remember, watch your temper
How many times did I-e say so?
Watch your rage and control your ego
cerulean skies or treacherous weather
Always remember, watch your temper
Always remember watch your temper
Always remember, watch your temper!

I love this whole album: It just captures a wide range of experiences and affects the listener with a wide range of emotions.
I first liked this album because of the nerdcore elements, but I fell in love when I realized that these verses were true poetry, speaking to a deeper truth and beauty unlike most hip-hop I've heard. "A Poet" exemplifies this with its bittersweet message about how poetry is not valued. This is the first hip-hop tune I've ever shed a tear over.

This album really captures the feel of the series. The hope that's hidden behind rage, fear, despair. You can sense all of it. EyeQ has a great support cast on this album as well, with none of the featured artists feeling out of place, they all feel as if they are strengthened by their placement here. Definitely glad I picked up a copy of this album as it was well worth twice the price I paid. Looking forward to more amazing things from EyeQ. smugzug
